Eligibility Criteria For UPSC Civil Service Examination:

Candidate applying for civil service exams is required to fulfill the following criteria:

  • He/she must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any of the recognised universities

2. RBI Grade B Examination

The Reserve Bank of India is one of the most prestigious government institutes in India and always the top choice of any banking aspirant. This is one of the best job exams after graduation.
Position: RBI Grade B is the entry-level officer position post for management cadre.

Growth Prospects: If you are being recruited at a young age, there is more chance to be a deputy governor after promotions in RBI departmental exams.

Eligibility Criteria For RBI Grade B Examination:

a) Nationality:

b) Educational Qualification:

Generally, an applicant should have secured at least 60% (50% for certain categories) marks as well in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations.

c) Age Limit:
  • Applicants for RBI Officer Grade B should be in the in the age group of 21-30 years.
  • Candidates with an M.Phil degree and Ph.D. qualification have a relaxation of 2 and 4 years in the upper age limit, i.e. the upper age limit for such candidates is 32 and 34 years respectively.
  • Candidates possessing experience as an officer in any of the commercial Banks or financial institutions in public sector as also prior experience in Reserve Bank of India, the upper age limit is relaxed to the extent of the number of completed years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For such candidates, upper age limit should not exceed 33 years including experience.
d) Number of Attempts:

General candidates have 6 attempts at RBI Officer Grade B exam whereas there is no such restriction on SC/ST/PWD candidates.

3. SBI PO Examination

Much like the IBPS PO exam, the State Bank of India is also a top choice for banking aspirants. Clearing the PO examination is a priority for most entry-level aspirants.

  • Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a state or central recognized university or possess any other equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government carrying 60% aggregate (for general categories).
  • Aspirants who are appearing in the Final year/Semester of their Graduation will also be eligible to apply but solely on the provisional basis.
  • Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is as per the date decided by the bank.
  • Candidates possessing the qualification of Chartered Accountant can also apply.
c) Age Limit:

Applicants should be within the age group of 21 to 30 years as per the date decided by the bank. There is a provision of age relaxation for candidates of certain categories.

d) Number of Attempts:

In general, a candidate may appear in SBI PO exam maximum for 4 times which has certain relaxations for specific categories.

4. IBPS PO Exam

The probationary officer (PO) is considered a lucrative white collar job in India. Conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), every year, lakhs of aspirants apply for PO examination and only thousands succeed.
Position: A bank probationary officer post is the entry-level position for management cadre

Job Profile: General banking and bank administration, supervision of the clerical works and work towards increasing banks business.

5. IBPS Specialist Officer Exam

Job Profile:  Specialist Officers are appointed for specific roles in various departments.

Candidates planning to appear for the RRB NTPC Exam must have their age between the provided age criteria. Candidates, who belong to the reserved category, will be provided the age relaxation in their upper age as per the guidelines set by the Parliament. Educational Qualification related eligibility criteria for RRB NTPC

There are two eligibility criteria on the basis of educational qualification for recruitment through the RRB NTPC exam 2018. While the graduation requirement remains the same across various posts, some posts require the candidate to be proficient in computer typing in English or Hindi language. The details are as below:
Irrespective of the criteria you meet from a or b above, you should have the marksheet of the final exam of the degree course at the time of applying to sit for the RRB NTPC examination.
Note: persons with more than 40% disability may be exempted from the Typing Test, provided they bring the Typing Skill Test Exemption Certificate to the Type Test Center.
Graduation through regular mode: You should have completed graduation from a recognized Board / University / Institute AND have the result of the final examination available at the time of application. Please ensure that you meet all the necessary criteria before applying to a post, to avoid problems later on.

8. LIC AAO Exam

The job of an Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) is regarded as a very responsible and respected job in the insurance sector.
Position: The LIC AAO post is an entry-level officer position.

Eligibility Criteria For LIC AAO Exam:

a) Age Criteria

Contenders, who wish to apply for LIC AAO Exam must be aged between 21 to 30 years. Aspirants, who belong to the reserved category, will be provided legitimate relaxation in the upper age.

b) Educational Qualification 

Candidates, who aspire to apply for LIC AAO Examination, should possess Bachelor degree in any stream from an institute or university recognized by Parliament or State Legislature. No candidates will be provided any relaxation in the minimum educational qualification.

9. IBPS and SBI Clerk

With the government saying no to interviews for clerk posts from 2017, clerical jobs are in hot demand.
Job Profile: The person inside the withdrawal and deposit counters are mostly of the clerical grade.
Training: Basic training of six months.
Growth Prospects:  In a few years, clerks may become officers by clearing internal exams.
Date of notification: January 2018 for SBI Clerk and August 2018 for IBPS Clerk
Date of examination: March 2018 for SBI Clerk and Nov-Dec 2018 for IBPS Clerk.

Eligibility Criteria IBPS and SBI Clerk Exam:

a) Age required

The age of the Candidates must not below than 20 years. Whereas the upper limit is 28 years. But there is a relaxation in upper age limit to reserved category candidates.

b) Educational qualification:
  • For Junior Associates: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government
  • For Junior Agricultural Associates: Graduation in Agriculture or Agriculture allied activities from a Government recognised university/Institute
  • Knowledge of official and local language: Candidates have to produce class 10th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing having studied official (local) language will not be subjected to any Language test. In case of others, language test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in official and local language would be disqualified
  • Candidates should be able to write and speak English
  • Candidates who are in the final Semester/ year of Graduation may also apply for SBI Clerk. But they will have to produce proof of having passed the Graduation Examination at the time of document verification for joining
  • Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD as per the prescribed dates
  • Candidates should be able to write and speak English

Note: 

  • The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University / Institute
  • In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University / Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University / Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing
  • Matriculate Ex-servicemen, who have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after having completed not less than 15 years of service in Armed Forces of the Union are also eligible for the posts

SBI/IBPS Clerk is a national level online test conducted by State Bank of India (SBI) for recruitment of around 20,000 Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) and Junior Agricultural Associates in clerical cadre posts. The exam is conducted in two phases – preliminary and mains.

10. TET

In India, Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by both Central and State governments to shortlist candidates and employ them as teachers. So if you ever wanted to be a teacher and waited for the opportunity to arrive, then this is it.

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

b) TET Eligibility Criteria for Paper – 2:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*
