I would like to know what is your administrative and other overheads in terms of percentage of your total donations you get? Out of every dollar I donate, what percentage will finally reach the end cause?

Thank you for the question. So far our track record has been that nearly all 100% of the donation goes to our supported cause. Typically there are other fees we end up paying such as Paypal transaction fees and bank/wire transfer fees. We pride ourselves as “zero overhead” nonprofit — what happens is our own small group of activists/volunteers covers most of the costs incurred in the process– such as communication, paperwork, site visits, etc. — in addition to of course volunteering their time and skills. Hence, someone has joked that we are a “negative-overhead” org!
Of course, that “idealism” is hard on the volunteers, so, going forward, we ask our donors to cover at least our nominal end-to-end transaction expenses (3-5%).
